What is LCD

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is a thin-flat electronic display. It doesn’t emit light, but its using light modulating properties of liquid crystals.

Nowadays they are used in wide range of applications, and have displaced conventional CRT displays in most electronic equipments.

As LCD panel don’t emit light, it needs external light source to be visible. Old LCD television use LED as backlight to illuminate, but newest models use red/green blue LEDs to improve display quality.

But, since it has complicated electronic circuits to work, you will need extra skills to repair them to be as good as new.
